President's Report

  • Facebook is evil but hopefully their advertising works - set up $10 budget for the Fantastic Servers event
  • Won't be able to make the wheel meeting, but sent an email with some fo my thoughts
  • Pinball's ethernet is dead
  • Did a (big) drinks and snacks run, receipt is here

Vice President's Report

  • Ran the talk on Thursday
    • Want to get something running weekly, did that
    • Wasn't great attendance, but oh well
  • Helping out with PCS study night on Monday
    • And shared via our Page, to give more visibility

Secretary's Report

Treasurer's Report

  • On a 13km walk at current
  • Reimbursed [MLG] $5.51 for tech talk posters (22/08/2019)
    • Took the posters to Guild, should have gone up on Friday
  • Our site has been updated!
    • Thanks to Ben Rampling (ben) for updating it and helping me move the minutes over.
    • For the minutes, a slightly different style needs to be taken for them to render nicely, but I can go over that with Grace.
      • For our reports, any indented lists need to be further in either by 1 tab or by 4 spaces. 2 spaces doesn't cut it anymore.
  • Minutes for SGM were completed yesterday with Maja, just reformatting to make them ready for the site
    • Aim to be done end of tomorrow
  • SOC got their chocolates

Fresher Rep's Report

OCM Reports

  • Operates after 6:30 on weekdays
  • Have never been more productive
    • Things are happening

[JGM]

  • Table for the centre of the club room ( where the plastic tables are ) AIMS

    • to provide a working space for four people using laptops ( with the potential for external monitors for the laptops down the line ) ( this space could be seated but more ideally it would be standing height in order to provide a more dynamic space wilst also providing more storage )

    • to replace the project bench and tool cupboard ie.

      • soldering station
      • storage for tools in the tool cubboard ( locked underneath the table )
      • A large enough and clear enough space for people to work on servers.

    • to neaten up that part of the club room

    • to provide two standing height work stations along the edge of the machine room that is closest to the window. ( with storage below )

    OPTIONS

    • Get an existing table to replace the plastic ones.

    • Get some quotes for getting an integrated table made

    • Get uccans to make a table

    I will not be here to discuss this and have only put this in here to allow people to think on it a little over the week.
