Progress is being made with the IP purchase

Has been keeping minutes up to date
Is going on holidays for 2 weeks. Hopeing to not inhale too much smoke

[MPT] Had the second subcommittee meeting.
Most of the business is done, still need to take extra alcohol back to the tav when it reopens.

Charity Vigil

[THA] things are not great re:treasurer stuff
Still dealing with the fallout from no-one running the charity vigil putting the eftpos machine back within the timeframe.
Previously, Unigames agreed to pay 0%, unisfa agreed to pay 25%, PCS agreed to pay 25%, UCC agreed to pay 50%.
PCS wish to renegotion the amount that they pay
[MPT] reaffirms (with agreement from attending committee members) that UCC will pay 50% of the late fee for the eftpos.
[THA] we should rewrite the subcommittee rules such that any future liabilities that are incurred by clubs working within a subcommittee for a collaborative event rather than putting the liabilities on individuals in clubs.
[MPT] costs and distribution of cost should be established prior to the event.

General Business

[THA] has all of the information for the warrenty on the SSD but may not be in Perth to complete.
ACTION: [MPT] will finish warrenty on SSD
[NTU]: Review usermod(8) process: add-to-group/remove-from-group , consider if we get an enthusiastic group of new members wanting to be sprocket/door/webmaster/committee/etc.
Start talking in the new year. When there are return members to add to things.
[TEC]: We need to (a) work out when to plan rennovations (IMO we should improve the clubroom over summer), and (b) actually do so
[MLG] we should elect someone to plan some renovations
[MVP] we need some plans, what are our goals for rennovations? are we doing benches? are we getting rid of some of the junk? Where are we putting equipment while we are painting, if we are painting?
We have big ambitions and we need to start planning for this.
[MLG] There is a wheel meeting on the 15th of Feburary
We should get members of that wheel meeting to have a mini-cleanup and remove some of the obsolte tech (cables and spare headphones/mice, computer components) from the club
- only the things that are not useful etc.
[MPT]: Elton offered to run a "How to Build a PC" event, if we're doing a hardware replacement over summer
We do not have plans for hardware replacement over summer.
