• - Finished up eggmp3, one of the ucc utility scripts. - It allows you to search youtube for songs and automatically download them to eggman. - Maybe a cool coke admin tui next...

  • Lost a damn good deal on OCAU for a high refresh rate monitor. :(
    • In future can be emergency payment.

Machine Technical Reports

Servers

• Motsugo needs a new hardrive.

  • Need to swap out hotspare.

• [GPO] fixed Salmon wifi controller.

  • RBD device wasn't being made properly, moved it to new disk and it just worked.

Network

• Still not fully un-firewalled.

• Uni IT still having issues with packets.

• Best time to bother IT is now while uni isn't on.

• Emails being firewalled.

  • Should try to fix before 50th anniversary.

Desktops

• Start looking at building a new desktop this year.

  • Build and break next sem?
  • New graphics card or whole new build.
    • New build would last longer.

• Testbench is open air so beware of theft risk.

• Christmas is still being weird.

  • Might be related to the fact the CPU chip is odd.
    • Supposed to have 6 cores but has 8, 2 cores are 'dubious'.

• Potentially boot Windows on one Linux only PC.

• Bring out Clownfish again.

  • Hook up to Mac monitor.

Misc.

• If the printer can't print from the PCs hit 'reset network settings' on printer.
  • Need to be logged in as admin.
  • Make a sign?
  • Maybe try and update firmware.

New Equipment

• We now have Sunkist instead of Fanta.

• We have Rock Deli Salt chips again, along with Smiths Originals, Twisties and Doritos. (yummer)

Guild/SOC

• Club carnival applications have opened.
• SOC Meeting next week.

Tenancy

• Busy Bee happened.

  • Note that guild hall clubs have a much better standard for Busy Bees (Clean & tidy).
  • Stuff on table, etc.

• Consultation.

  • Keys are club responsibility, if lost lock or key club has to pay.

  • Guild and Cameron Hall cleaning contract should be happening 4 days a week.

    • Not happening enough.

  • Cameron Hall elevator aimed to be installed in 2025.

    • No other information yet.
    • May be in line with renovating tav.
    • Potential walkway to Shenton House ??
      • Shenton House is a historical building.
    • Talk of Guild and Cam Hall link?

  • Clubroom re-allocations open mid-July.

    • Will be ratified by October 13th 2023.
    • Final signing by end of October.
    • Appeals to mid November.
    • Contracts up to January 31st 2024.

  • Skip bin in loading bay for a few weeks.

• [NTU]: Any updates on 49th, since 2023-05-22 ? Would appreciate some thoughts on pencilling in some dates for the 49th/2023 and 50th/2024. 49th could be as simple as pizza in the loft, but it is the organisational trial run for the 50th; and the 49th would benefit from a serious attempt at an occasional liquor license for the venue.
